Don't waste your money. It's like all the other multivitamins/minerals - not enough of anything to help and uses the least absorbable and wrong form of ingredients.

It contains iron which will affect the absorption of anything else. Iron should be taken at least 2 hours away from other supplements.

It contains folic acid rather than methylfolate

B12 is cyanocobalamin and methylcobalamin is the better form.

It contains 200mg iodine and we should be tested to see if we are deficient in iodine before supplementing with it, and then supplement under the supervision of an experienced practioner.

It contains zinc oxide which is the form used in sunscreen.

It contains soya which we Hypos should avoid unless it's fermented.

You would be better off testing the vitamins and minerals we advise here

Vit D

B12

Folate

Ferritin

Then supplement any deficiencies or low levels. Post results on the forum for comment and suggestions.

Here is an article about hair loss and vitamin deficiencies healdove.com/disease-illnes...

Totally agree with Susie. Plus it contains copper, and the odds are you don't need copper. You should get it tested before taking any because excess copper is not good.

Your hair product contains biotin. This is not a problem till it comes time for a blood test. Biotin can give a false result. If you stop using it 5 day before a test you should be fine. I'm not sure how much you could absorb into your body but best to be safe.

Hi. Have you lost the outer part of your eye brows too, or just on your head? Hair loss of eye brows and/or head hair is listed as a symptom of thyroid disease. The hair loss can be caused by having too little or too much thyroid hormone. Hair loss could be caused by inadequate levels FT3, FT4 level, or both, which are your actual thyroid hormones, not TSH. Being under or over medicated after you are diagnosed hypo or hyper can also cause hair loss. What are your latest levels of FT3, FT4 and TSH?

Aside from the obvious, your thyroid disease, your hair loss could also be related to vitamin deficiencies, as @SeasideSuzy has discussed.

Hair loss can be a classic sign of thyroid disease or inadequate thyroid hormone levels. Even if you're on 100 mcg levo, your thyroid hormones might be all wrong. What are your Free T3 and Free T4 levels? Have you had your thyroid antibodies tested, TPOab and TGab?

Your GP DOUBLED your dose in one sitting? Why? Increases are usually done in 25 mcg increments, then keep re-testing every 6 weeks, and adjust meds every 6 weeks until levels are optimal and symptoms subside. What other symptoms do you have?

Asmaafzal profile image
Asmaafzal in reply toShootingStars

Gp done jst free T4 which is 15.5pmol/L and TSH 8.44mu/L

He said you are too symptomatic that's why I'm doubling your dose

Feeling tired hair loss numbness in feet and hand sensitive to cold joint pain in fingers 2 kg weight gain distrib periods and change in voice and feeling very dry throat

And dizziness also omg I cant tell you what's going on with me some times I feel so depressed

I'm sorry you're feeling so awful. :-( You are hypothyroid, that's what's going on. Your thyroid antibodies also need to be tested to rule out having autoimmune disease as the cause of your hypothyroidism and symptoms. These tests are called TPOab and TGab.

Which T4 test is that? Need the lab ranges to interpret those numbers, otherwise they're just numbers, and it's anyone's guess what they mean. ;-) All the labs have different reference ranges. The range for your TSH at 8.44 is probably close to the ranges found everywhere. TSH at 8.44 is high, or indicates slow thyroid.

Yes, those are all hypothyroid symptoms. Hmmm, your changes in voice and dry throat. Do you have swelling in your neck or a fat looking neck, also called a goiter? Even if you barely have any enlargement, with those symptoms in your throat, your thyroid should probably be ultrasounded.

I don't feel goiter but gp has given scan for goiter and it takes time to get appointment from hospital

ShootingStars in reply toAsmaafzal

Your GP can probably feel an enlargement, plus your symptoms, so that's why she ordered the scan. Please be sure to follow up and get that scan as soon as possible. You need to make sure you rule out thyroid cancer and this is done with scans, etc.

I did not have a goiter either, but the GP could feel enlargement and showed me where the tiny swelling was. My ultrasound showed an enlarged thyroid and nodules. Both are common with thyroid disease.

How much levo were you taking before he doubled it?

Have you had your vit d, vit B12, folate and ferritin tested? Some of your symptoms sound like low nutrients, numb fingers and dizziness could very well be low B12. So, if you haven't done so already, you really should get them tested. :)

I was taking 50mcg levothyroxine before getting double. B12 never been tested I think I should take appointment for B12 test
