Hello everyone, I posted here a few weeks ago asking for advice for a good adrenal supplement for a sensitive person, and I am going to follow the advice I was given, which was to switch from Nutri Adrenal to Thorne ACE.
However as they are very different products, ie, The Thorne is a cortex and the N.A is not, plus I think it contains some adrenaline? So the action on the body is very different .
The N. A has given me palpitations and shaky hands and even though I have cut down the tablet by 50mg (two weeks ago), I still have the symptoms
So would it be advisable to continue to reduce the N.A slowly until some of the side effects are gone? Or just do a straight swap now ?

I have just bought 2 bottles of Thornes imported from USA to UK for less than half the price of the UK price.Even though I got charged by customs.Next time I will import one bottle,to keep under the £15 charge band
The Nutri Adrenal that I'm taking is an adrenal 'concentrate' and I was told by another HU member, (sometime ago), that it wasn't a cortex product. And she seemed to be under the belief that it contained some adrenaline. So I took it as being right. It certainly doesn't say anything about that on the container. Just the word 'concentrate', plus fillers of course.
I am also sensitive to meds, as I have mentioned. So I would like to go onto Thorne ACE completely.
Have you been on the Thorne product long ?
And did you find it easy to move from Adrenavive to the ACE ?
I believe Nutri Adrenal Extract is WHOLE extract of adrenal gland, wheras Adrenavive 11 & Thornes are extracts that do not include the part of the gland with adrenaline.
ie when taking an adrenal extract labelled cortex,it does not include the part with adrenaline in.
Adenavive 11 is a lot stronger.I just took one in the morning & now that I have finished that bottle I am taking one Thornes in the morning.
I have not had any adverse reactions to either product.I also take NDT & LDN.I have Hashimotos
Thanks Naomi8 - that's so helpful ! So as the N.A is WHOLEextract I take it that it would contain a small amount of adrenaline !
I was also told by Nutri Advanced that it should be reduced slowly as it is a strong product. But I'd love to stop it sooner as I don't like the side effects , and I'm told that the Thorne ACE only has beneficial effects.
I thought that I Thorne is less in mg's than Adrenavive I I ?
I also take NDT ( though it's reduced at the moment because of the adrenal problem).
One last question Naomi, did you reduce your Adrenavive slowly, before starting the Thorne ?
Thank you so much, I won't bother you again, just so need the reassurance at present !!!!
