I’m no expert but they look low to me. If it was me I would ask your gp for an am serum cortisol test and if that result is less than 300 you should be referred to an endocrinologist for a short synacthen test. Do you have any symptoms of Adrenal insufficiency?

Thank you Emyloulou I'm always loathe to see the GP I always feel like they think I'm wacko lol I have hashimotos so I get symptoms but couldnt say whether it's adrenal or thyroid?

My earliest symptoms where constant nausea, zero appetite, weight loss due to both of these, extreme fatigue and generally feeling awful. Later I developed serious shaking internally and externally especially in the morning, I couldn’t even shower without having to lie down afterwards, my bp and pulse where all over the place and I looked and felt dreadful. They only good thing to come out of it was I lost 6 stone I needed to lose!

I haven't got any of those symptoms sounds like you had a dreadful time! Are you well now? The tired but wired symptom is very real for me don't sleep well can't get to sleep at night despite being tired. Which supplements do you use?

It wasn’t the best 6 months of my life I’ll be honest but I’ve been taking hydrocortisone(prescribed) for about 6 weeks now and finally feel a bit more human again have gone back to work after 7 months of sick.

I don’t take any supplements specifically for adrenal problems as I don’t know enough about them but I do take selenium, magnesium etc for my hashis x

I'm glad you're starting to feel better! I will take these results to GP and see what she says? Thank you

You need to see a doctor. Your adrenals are struggling badly. Not sure this would be Addison's, but your DHEA is very, very low, so you need help urgently, I would say.

Thank you Grey goose I already take all the recommended supplements Vit C and B complex so I will book in to see doctor.

Yes, but sometimes we reach a point where supplements are no-longer enough, and we need a doctor's help. So, glad to hear that you're going to see one. :)

My gp referred me for synacthen test following 9am cortisol test which was low. I’m awaiting that to rule out Addison’s.

A knowledgeable member advised me to do the adrenal saliva test which is done over 24 hours, I’m doing that next week.

To support your adrenals, I believe the basics are a good B complex and high dose vitamins C. There are all sorts of things you can then take for your cortisol etc, but I think you need to delve deeper and get advice to work out exactly what’s wrong.

I haven’t had weight loss and my appetite definitely hasn’t gone, but I have chronic insomnia and often feel wiped out, hence my trip to the GP. I hope this helps x

I responded to someone last night about their test results for saliva cortisol. You might find my replies helpful :

Edit : However, I do think, as people said above, that your results are so low you should see a doctor.

Hi, I'm wondering where and how you got these tests done. Were they expensive, blood or ? I have hashi since last June, and Hypothyroid. I've actually got exactly the same symptoms as Emyloulou, and yet my GP thinks I'm a hypocondriac and wants to withdraw my Levo altogether. I'm almost certain I have probs with Adrenals, but don't know how to test. Any advice/ suggestions would be appreciated. So sorry I can't understand your results or offer suggestions x

Music

That test was done with Regenerus

Important when doing an adrenal test to have both cortisol and DHEA tested and both are included in this test.
