Thyroid medication in pregnancy

Would like some advice on medication/pre natal vitamins in pregnancy. Pregnant following a Mc and now worried thyroid affected previous pregnant. Any advice would be welcomed

Are you diagnosed hypothyroid. If so TSH is supposed to be kept below 2.5 I believe. I will try to find a link for you.

I understand that having adequate thyroid hormones is critical during pregnancy for the health of the foetus.

Yes it crucial you are on the right dose. Are you pregnant now? If so, congratulations and also speak to your GP about it. My medication was increased by 25 mcg of T4 during my last pregnancy but not my first for some reason. I was also on iron tablets and folic acid. The iron did play havoc during the morning sickness stage though, making it worse. But If you are anaemic, they may advise some form of iron supplement anyway. The extra T4 medication is because the baby will take some through you during the pregnancy, so "mum" needs to be healthy for the pregnancy to go full term.
