Morning hive, the endocrinologist I saw yesterday told me I have a heart Murmur and is referring me to cardiology, I’ve been taking 40mg of T3 for years, she was shocked that I’ve not been monitored carefully (prescribed) the max she prescribed privately is 5mg! I did have palpitations and angina type symptoms for the first few months of T3, anyone else had this experience??

Heart Murmur
I take one daily dose of 45mcg of T3 and haven't had problems which I had with T4.
I am glad you are being referred to a cardiologist and hopefully your heart is fine. I think your doctor has panicked as they have no knowledge about T3. I also know of a doctor whose daily dose was 150mcg which he took in the middle of the night. The medical profession seem to believe in 'untruths' about thyroid hormones, i.e. T3 and NDT and rumours abound.
I take one daily dose of T3 and occasionally I feel a response in heart in a short time after taking it. If I miss a dose my heart really nudges me particularly in the middle of the night.
Thank you,I take 100mg of T4 and 40mg of T3? I had lots of heart pain last year but put it down to my sister dying then grieving, can’t bear the thought I’ve damaged myself):
I can understand as my sister died last year too.
I think if you took too much your body would have reacted by severe palpitations bearing in mind I am not medically qualified.
Our heart and brain needs the most T3.
If your heart is affected I'd reduce levothyroxine first.
The reason, for me, was that levo gave me constant palps and I had to go to the A&E often. With T3 I have had no need and body is calm.
This is re overdosing:
