Throbbing Thyroid?

Does anyone else get palpations / throbbing in your neck / thyroid? It’s quite unpleasant and happening a lot recently. Any ideas what it is or what could be causing it?

Hi yes I have palpitations too, been suffering with them for a few years now it's very worrying, but I think it's my thyroid meds that are causing them even though I am on the lowest dose! What do you take and how many mg?

I’ve just moved over a week ago to Turkish tiromel but tbh I was thinking besides my other ongoing issues the transition was going well compared to last year when I went onto cynomel which I couldn’t get on with.

I’ll see if it begins to settle down but I think my migraines atm could be a factor

I know we talked of migraines previously and I thought of you just this minute. Just 10 minutes ago I took my nightly dose of magnesium

Glycinate & my migraine has disappeared. I wasn't expecting that at all. Exact thing happened when I had a Hashi flare up to a few days ago. So thought I'd let you know since you've been getting cluster migraines.

I have both. The former for over ten years and landed multiple times in hospital purely because I was nearly fainting and was simply asked "nothing wrong, do you drink coffee?" (Up until one ECG finally caught me at the right time) and the latter since last year when I got new problems. Mine is a goiter though, but heart problems such as Long QT Arrhythmia (longer time in between electrical jolts signalling for your heart to pump is slowed down essentially) is very common in hypothyroid patients.

I suspect it's due to improper care through poor medications and not testing properly by most doctors and endocrinologists since the thyroid gland helps maintain much of the body outside of metabolism and even temperature, including regulatong the heart obviously.

I can't offer much help outside of this but perhaps keep an eye on the throbbing because I personally never experienced that unless there was a goiter.

My thyroid swells up regularly as it affects my swallowing but is I not temporary. So no real goitre but even on optimal meds I still keep having ongoing thyroiditis. Ultrasound again next week but knowing my luck it won’t swell up on the day
