So sore!

I keep having trouble with my mouth and my throat. My mouth keeps cracking open at the sides and is really hard to keep moistured. It is really dry no matter what I put on it and I keep having ‘burning mouth symdrome’ where I feel as though I’ve eaten loads of chillis all at once! Then comes the sore throat. This comes and goes but feels like I’m starting with a cold every other week or so. It will stay sore for a few days then be ok for a week or so then repeat. Are these normal symtpoms of hypo?

I have not experienced any of those symptoms and have been hypo for 15 years. A burning sensation in the mouth can be caused by Vitamin D deficiency, might be a good idea to get your levels tested. Increasing your vitamin C may also help.

Cracks at the side of the mouth are usually a B vitamin deficiency (esp B2, B3, B12) or sometimes anaemia. Can also be exacerbated by candida (try canesten on cracks).
