How to choose doog supplements.

Hi everyone. As my posts have shown I'm working on developing treatment plans for several health issues that I don't feel are being helped adequately by my doc. The info that is helping me most are the posts from my 3 communites at HU. Part of my treatment includes recommended supplements. I am already on several individual vit/minerals that are helping and have good leads about others that I feel are effective. One thing that frustrates me is when I read an article or recommendation (not necessarily a problem associated with HU) is when I see . "Take a good multivitamin'" I have not seen specific companies or names recommended. Exactly What is a GOOD MULTIVITAMIN.?There are so many multis on the market how do we evaluate which are worth buying/taking and which ones are scams. I would love to know any recommendations from any of you that feel you have found a good one. Thanks. There are many mentions of individual supplements that have helped others here and have helped me.I am also interested in finding a good, effective B complex vitamin. One place I don't trust are shops that sell health foods/vitamins/ etc. I feel I often have more info than the salespeople pjus their agenda is to sell me whatever. And often the information they give about a product and what it will do for me I know is incorrect. So I trust info from patients and prefer to buy online (eliminating the 'salesperson ' ). Thanks again.P.S. Feel free to PM me if you like. irina1975

Thorne Research are good - and many of us take the B Complex.

Multi-vits usually contain ingredients you do NOT need and lots of fillers. Usually not enough of some things - but should you increase then you may overdose on another.

Jarrow Methylcobalamin B12 well used here. Pure Encapsulations is a good brand as is Viridian. All available from Amazon. Everyone has their favourites - so you could end up even mote confused 😊

If you click onto SeasideSusie and then click Replies you can read her detailed responses with good information.

Do test before supplementing so you know how much to take.

I would say there's no such thing as a good multivit. Unless you can find one without minerals. Most of them have minerals, and it's not good to take minerals and vitamins together, or to take certain minerals together. Apart from a B complex, I would never take a bunch of random stuff together in one pill. You're much better off taking things separately. :)
