It might suppress your bone marrow which could lead to lower platelets (to stop bleeding), anaemia from lower RBC count or lower WBC count (to fight infection). It happened to me once - I got a sore throat, my dr checked my overall bloodcount & my WBC were suppressed. I didn't take it for about a week & everything came back to normal.

What did they treat your thyroid condition with after this blood disorder cleared up?

Continued with the Carbimazole. It tends to be temporary.

I ended up getting RAI because carbimazole didnt really do a lot for me. Better now taking levothyroxine. Sounds like you had a nasty experience with your treatment & not given adequate care.
