i see some people have had these done and seems interesting. I've lost so much hair I'm protective of every strand i have left so want to know how it works? How big/long a sample is required? I have long hair, so would only tips be needed or is it close to the scalp? (the latter would be a no no in such case!)
thanks!

Hi Kitten44, I had it done couple of times. You need a heaped tablespoon of hair as close as possible to the scalp. I cut bits out from the back of my head. I had minerals an heavy metals tested. I have read a lot of bad press about it though so I’m not really sure what to think about it now.
Hi I had one done recently and it is the results from it that prompted me to get my thyroid checked as minerals suggested it was struggling, which it is. It also implicated struggling adrenals, which they are.
It provides you with an analysis of all minerals and then comments as to why the levels might be as they are, symptoms you may be suffering and how you can correct them.
I am now on an intense course of minerals to help rebalance things as our thyroid works optimimly when vitamins are optimum levels. In my experience it has been useful and I'm hoping that in 3 months I will be reaping there benefits of the supplements I'm taking!
