I did well on Levo for 20 years then things went haywire, GP nor Endo any help so I had to help myself.
Let's start with your results. Can you please post your TSH, FT4 and FT3, with reference ranges (ranges are very important as they vary from lab to lab).
Also, have you ever had thyroid antibodies tested and were they raised?
Have you had vitamins and minerals tested - Vit D, B12, Folate and Ferritin?
If you haven't had all those tested then you need them done, and if your GP won't do them you can do a private fingerprick test at home with one of our recommended labs -
I dont know whats been tested a full blood count thats all i know im back at the doctors on friday but she always fobs me off and says its menopause or depression but its not im over it early menopause at 35 now 45
I have always been told i suffer low iron and to eat as much in food as possible ill try and get print out and post back thanks for replying
The best thing to do is ring the surgery and ask the receptionist for a print out of your results, as many as possible. In the UK we are legally entitled to our results and by getting a print out there will be no mistakes that can sometimes occur when they are written down or given verbally by someone who doesn't understand them. So I would ring them today, say you will pick them up on Wednesday then you can post them on here (include reference ranges) and they can be interpreted. You will then be in a position to ask your GP some relevant questions on Friday.
