Hi all. Diagnosed two years ago. Prescribed Levothyroxine. On 75mcg. (Have 50mcg and 25mcg tablets). Both have Lactose in (Corn Starch and possibly Talc as fillers?!). Been feeling very sick and unwell on these. Read the back and discovered they have Lactose in. Spoke to GP. Have often told GP's I am Lactose intolerant. Complained to recent GP (same surgery). GP searched on computer for my tablets up as did not know if they contained Lactose or not. Did not know what to replace them with. Suggested I speak to pharmacist which I did. Pharmacist said he needs to order Lactose free ones. I may be going up to a 100mcg dose soon. (Not quite sure yet. Waiting for my blood test results) Anyhow. ... can anyone help answer my questions?
1) What Colour should the box/boxes be?
2) What Brand name?
3) Can anyone tell me if they felt better/worse on these and what to expect.
4) Any other advice about the Lactofree ones I may benefit from knowing?
