It is difficult to see much logic in how medics perform with thyroid treatment.

The reason for what is written is because they are reluctant to start treatment untill your tsh goes over 10 but once you are taking levothyroxine they are told to keep your tsh between 0.4 and 2.4. Most people feel best when their tsh is less than 1.0.

Thanks a lot, it was In September, but rereading today, because I am so upset of the GP answer "It is not so important to test the antibodies, they are not connected with the value of TSH".

By the way, Ft4, supporting the picture above are 14.3, tsh-12.

Did test in December-Tsh-0.9, but do not know how are the antibodies. And still concerned.

Doctors are badly trained in thyroid matters, they just don't know any better. Are you taking levothyroxine now?

As for antibodies, when they are active they can sent your readings up and down and the doctors alter your medication up and down in response. There comes a point when an uninformed doctor is best released back into the wild if they can't be domesticated. There are lots of doctors out there and some of them are helpful.

If funds allow you can get a private blood test done so you know where you stand. People find that high antibodies can often be lowered by adopting a totally gluten free diet.

I am in a diet-gluten, sugar, diaries free, what else , and take some herbs and teas, going to check my gut for any bacteria.

I know that antibodies reflected in two ways-ones if there arr any digestive problems, twice-any problems wit teeth, nose or ears.I have got a broken nose since 1984 and cannot breath very properly and wanted from the GP to check she said it is normal again.Everything for the doctors is normal, and so many people had left this worl for this normality. ;))

Boyana1969,

I've just seen your other post where you say TSH is 0.90 after you were prescribed Levothyroxine.

Hi Boyana

Thank you for your post and the picture.

The comment in your blood test is from the pathologist who interprets your blood's, and has given the GP some recommendations. They are telling your GP that your TSH level is high, and suggesting you have subclinical hypothyroidsm, and that they would recommend you are prescribed T4 hormone replacement. They also recommended that your GP re-test in 3 months and include TPO antibodies test.

TPO antibodies test will confirm if you have hashimoto's or the autoimmune hypothyroid condition. If you already saying you have hashi's you may have had this test before.

There are a few things that I am happy to suggest you do next, but first can you post a little more about your symptoms, when were you diagnosed, and by who (GP or endo or self diagnosed) and what treatment you have had.

I would suggest in the first instance you go back to your GP and request testing for TSH; FT3; FT4; TPO Antibodies; Anti- thyroglobulin; Vit D; Ferritin; B12; Folate; Cholesterol; HDL; LDL

I would also suggest that you send then a copy of your signs and symptoms, and ask them to review these, along with the blood test and make appropriate recommendations:

Once you have have results, feel free to post them with the normal values.

Good luck

I am so thankful for your kind understanding of the problem.

I was diagnosed in August with:

Tsh 15.7

TPO 223.1

TG AT 533.9

FT4 9.27

Immediately, the Endo prescribed me Levo0,25, then 0.50, now I am taking 0.75.

Immediately, I started a diet-gluten, sugar, diaries free.

Symptoms were started two years ago-no energy, stayed nervous without a reason .

Accidentally I decided to do a blood test, I have bothered about my liver, actually when I was a child have had Hip B.

Because my GP left in Ocrober I have to go every time to a different doctor .

Thanks again with respect!
