Metabolic age shock

omnipeta profile image
12 Replies

I'm 67, and have had an under active thyroid for several years, prescribed Levothyroxine 150mls.

I ensure I exercise daily and drink alcohol moderately and try and eat healthily, but am not always successful.

I recently paid for a private health screening which showed my Metabolic age as 80!

All other tests, ECG, ccholesterol, blood etc were ok, any advice appreciated, thank you.

Omnipeta,

It might help members if you post a link to the test you had done.

I'd be curious about which factors they use in calculating metabolic age. Did they tell you?

Not sure I'd want to know mine, I reckon it would come out about 100 :D

Not sure about a page which displays an advert showing a pile of pancakes with syrup on a supposed health site. Even if it is "low calorie" as claimed. (Mind, they show the calories claimed before pouring syrup over.) :-)

Haha it was the first one I found on Google :)

Pancakes... Mmmmmmmmmm.... but with juice of lemon and a bit of unrefined sugar, just a little bit of course. Off to drool over pancakes :D

They were more American or Scottish style - not proper English pancakes. :-(

Oh no, they have to be proper English pancakes!

What is a proper English pancake when it's at home?

I know what a crepe is. I'm sure I've never seen an English pancake. Just looked. Now can't unlook. It's more or less like a crepe except we use eggs, flour, milk, butter/oil, salt.

Looks like yummy. Looks like Hungarian crepes. We roll it up around good stuffings. Even chicken paprikas can go into a crepe.

Very similar to a crepe.

All pancakes are tasty, & can even be nutritious! :D
