Hi just joined, just got back from the gym as my weight is still going up. Makes me so unhappy. Taking 200mg of thyroxine and don’t feel any different if I didn’t take them at all.

Hello 👋
Amanda, everyone will tell you to post your latest results on here. Perhaps you are over doing the exercise and causing your body to go into a reverse t3? Go back to your GP and let them know about the lack of weightloss.😃
Amanda
To be on 200mcg Levo and not feel any different than not taking any then something is wrong.
Continued weight gain, or not being able to lose weight, can mean that FT3 is too low (T3 is the active hormone needed by every cell in our body) and by going to the gym you are using up the T3 that you do have so you might want to ease off the exercise for a while and just do gentle exercise like walking, swimming, yoga.
You need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested.
Also TPO and TG antibodies.
Also Vit D, B12, Folate Ferritin.
That will give us the complete picture. If your GP wont do them you can get a private fingerprick test that covers all of them:
medichecks.com/thyroid-func... - check on Thursdays as they have offers every week
Wow thank you I’m going to do these tests thanks for the info 😁
