Cramps: Hi the docs have upped my levo to 75 and... - Thyroid UK
Cramps
Did you get copies of your retesting results after 6 weeks on 50mcg
If not ring receptionist and ask for copies. You will need to pick up in person in day or so. They can charge £10 max for print out.
You may be able to view test results online - ring and ask about this. If you can then apply for online access to your account. You may need enhanced access to view blood test results. All GP practices are supposed to offer online access including test results, in reality very few yet have blood test results available online.
Do you have high thyroid antibodies? Ask GP to test, if not been done. This is to diagnose Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease)
Also vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 can be too low, especially if you have Hashimoto's
Low vitamin D might be cause, extremely common with any thyroid disease
No I didn’t get copies
Always ask for copies of all blood tests. We are legally entitled to copies of own blood test results
You need to know if you have Hashimoto's also called autoimmune thyroid disease
If you do, then vitamin deficiencies are more likely and food intolerances, especially gluten significantly more likely
I had slightly white blood count
Yes, when I was hypo I had muscle cramps in arms and thighs. This was spontaneous as well as during simple activity like walking (inner thigh muscles) or lifting something.
Hope this helps.
