A friend has some symptoms that might be thyroid related but the blood tests she sent seem to be female hormone tests for menopause which I don’t understand.
Her TSH is 2.1 so not dire.
Any help interpreting them gratefully received

If your friend has clinical symptoms - see below = which she can tick off.

A TSH and T4 aren't sufficient to diagnose but I will assume her GP wont do more, ie. she needs:
TSH, T4, Free T4, Free T3 and thyroid antibodies - would be ideal as it gives a much bigger picture.
She also needs B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate - all have to be optimal

Thanks Shaws. That is what I thought and sent the details of the blood test to have covering all those (feel quite please with myself to have got the right tests when I first came in here I was clueless!) - it was on offer yesterday too. I think she was considering taking HRT but was not sure if her hormones were at the stage to need replacing but I have no idea how to read those results.
She thinks she might be feeling unwell because of the menopause starting. She has very bad anxiety which has increased to chronic levels and has put on weight but she has a strange puffy look which is why I said she should ask for a thyroid test just to check all was ok.
I hope your friend also gets the tests then she can post the results. At least she'll have an idea. The fact that in the UK they make you wait until the TSH is 10 is really ridiculous.
I am sure if she ticks off her clinical symptoms in the link above, she will have more than one.
