Seeing gp underactive thyroid

Wondering do GPS give you medication for underactive thyroid? Had blood took fri surgery rang say was now under I'd gone back last week as knew wasn't right they got doc ring me who said come in need meds came in seen different doc who was bit abrupt saying I'm not emergency and to wait till see consultant. I've asked surgery for copy results but they say have see doc get them which don't want do after monday!

I'm post partum had lot pain around neck have cough cud b through groiter I have waiting see consultant had scan two weeks ago the consultant has rang wants see me fri so worried results are bad hoping discuss medication
