Terrible Website

When I went to put in a title my question disappeared. It's too long to repeat. Very frustrating! Also I do not wish to add a photo. Why do you make everything so difficult?

You do not have to add a photo - that is optional 😊 I have very little computer knowledge but have been able to post here with ease - mostly !

I agree it can be frustrating but on the whole it works. I copy and paste everything so if it disappears you can just paste it in again!

thanks so much for that.. I've done it easily before but this time I wrote a very long story and as soon as I finished and tried to type in a title the whole thing disappeared! Prob my computer.. who knows.. but I just had to vent and probably came across as a real cow!

Do it on a word doc if long post & cut and paste. I did that last night as have also had issues esp if not using a computer. Agreed the site functionality isn't great but the advice and support is.

Hi there it is a very easy page to follow, just type in your title and then what you would like to write then send-it's done.

Take your time- this is a great forum and lots of very knowledgeable people will help you.😊

I agree they have recently made it worse, but if you just type the title of your post in the title box and then type the body of the post in the big box - it works (must do or you wouldn't have got this far). No one forces you to add a photo or a topic. If you are afraid of losing your text, type it into a word processor first and copy and paste it into the big box.

The longer my posts/replies, the more chance I have of touching my mouse & the page refreshing. Perhaps that's what happened? I do try to remember to copy & paste what I've typed in anticipation of self-sabotage!

The new HU format isn't as pleasing to use as before, but I'm more irked by the adverts!

BadHare oh I seem to be lucky not had any ads on my iPhone that would be very annoying to me.

How come they ran the site without them for so long and have now started with them?

Got to admit i dont like the new icon bar at the top of the page, it just does not stand out for the eyes very good-its probably just my eyesight i need binoculars to see anything!!

I find the grey icon bar very un-eye-catching. So much of the internet these days is in a fairly pale grey font. What was wrong with black?

HB, this is a web designers' fetish that has also crept into book publishing. Any health information website ought to abide by design guidelines for people with common sight impairments. I had a relevant bookmark about this, but it seems to have fallen into the black hole of my back-up hard drive...

Title bar is white with a thin grey edge on mine pleasingly minimalist!

Oh hang on I see what you mean about the text being grey and lacking contrast for readability. I unless you find it hard you don’t notice it could be problematic to read but on a health website you think guidelines would be followed by its designers it should be part of their brief!
