Hi any ideas why levels aren't improving on 150mcg levo? Diagnosed 2012. Symptoms are feet feeling like they are in blocks of ice, sluggish gut, dry skin, depression, joint pain, flaky nails, weight gain, no appetite.

Thanks

Dec 2017 (150mcg levo)

TSH 5.80 (0.27 - 4.20)

FT4 14.7 (12 - 22)

FT3 3.3 (3.1 - 6.8)

Probably because its not enough levo for you, need dose increase until tsh is around 1 and t3/t4 in upper end of their range. Someone with more knowledge will be along to expand on this soon ;-)

It looks as though you need more levo .Your TSH should be about 1 or below ,and the other two in the upper half of the ranges.

But your vitamins need to be optimal to get the best out of the levo. Have you recent tests for ferritin,folate,D3 and B12?

Not what you're looking for?
