hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum .iv been going to the doctors about anxiety related symptoms. anti depressents haven't worked . I'm now on beta blockers but the doctor wants to do blood tests on Friday for my thyroid . symptoms I'm getting are hot, shaky , headaches , muscle aches , muscle weakness, blurred vision, ibs related symptoms (upset tummy) . anxiety , panicky , faster heart rate, sicky feeling , stomach pains, a little weight loss. just really feeling unwell . could my thyroid be causing this ?

Sorry your not feeling well I’ve been exactly the same and I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease - overactive thyroid. This was discovered through blood tests.

thankyou , I'm hoping the blood test results will tell me more . iv suffered for a long time now so it would be great to get a diagnosis xxx

For full evaluation you ideally need TSH, FT4, FT3, TT4, TPO and TG antibodies, plus vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested

See if you can get full thyroid and vitamin testing from GP.
