I think you'll get more response if you post the actual numbers - results and ranges. :)

For thyroid?

That would be a good idea, but I was thinking more of the cortisol tests, considering your question is about adrenals.

TSH 5.2 (0.2 - 4.2)

FT4 13.1 (12 - 22)

FT3 3.0 (3.1 - 6.8)

Well, you are extremely under-medicated, which won't help your adrenals. Your TSH should be one or under. And your FT3 is below range, so you really need an increase in dose.

What were your cortisol levels?

Sample 1 9.3 (12 - 22)

Sample 2 3.8 (5.0 - 9.0)

Sample 3 2.5 (3.0 - 7.0)

Sample 4 2.0 (1.0 - 3.0)

Total cortisol 17.6

Has your doctor seen these results? Or your endo, if you have one? They are very low. Not sure you can treat those by yourself.

My GP wouldn't accept the results because I did them privately. I will give them to endo instead. Thanks

Well, if the GP doesn't like private tests, he should do his own, shouldn't he! And he should thank you for saving the NHS a bit of money. Utterly rediculous!

However, I think that was just his way of avoiding the issue because he has no idea what to do about them!

As you are extremely under medicated you are very likely to have terribly low vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Post results and ranges if you have them

Your GP and endo are mismanaging you to leave you so under medicated

If you have high antibodies this is Hashimotos. Very many find gluten free diet essential

Get coeliac blood test first

I suspect you have had a badly treated problem for a long time. This would cause your adrenals to step in and help out by propping up your thyroid but it can't keep this up andcso it's now suffering itself. You need expert help asap. Contact the Endo urgently. Let us know how you get on.
