Rash from levo teva, boreing question re antihistamine ...

....re rash from teva ( may well be this as is subsiding slowly as stopped taking three days )

- if take antihistamine as suggested how does this show you anything if levo has a week half life anyway? I feel I'm missing something here? But conscious I shouldn't stop meds, if had thismotchy rash you know it's a bit all consuming constantly

Is anyone familiar with this very itchy rash please and had good results from antihistamine? Or which make more agreeable? , I can't do warhart as a Acasia disagrees, causing chesty catarrh

I'm even wondering now if hay fever type allergies or any for that matter, improve with thyroid meds X

The rash, if caused by tablets, will be from the fillers not from the hormone in the tablets. Therefore reaction to fillers can be pretty immediate, minutes or hours, while effects of hormone take a week to begin to show. Antihistamine could alleviate allergic reaction to fillers so can be used to rule out cause of rash.

The T4 in Levothyroxine has a half life of a week but not the filler ingredients which are in Levothyroxine and it is likely to be the filler ingredients which cause allergies. You will be undermedicated if you've stopped taking Teva for 3 days. It would be better to resume taking Teva and take an antihistamine an hour before the Teva.

The previous brand was the cataargh and cough for three weeks

I did wonder re the filler life clutter thanks, I have since read here about three other cases sounding identical with rash, and then that the filler has changed to micro c ......... sorry I can't do names, and it is actually a slippery wood filler, having read this and identified this is the filler, I'm not prepared to subject my body to this, one member talks how it affected neck movement until it subsided, it's crazy what has been used, I'm really unsure what to do, il sleep on it,

Il explore actevis one, after that il try ndt, I'm loosing hope with levo xx

( undermedicated anyway, at least this endo cancellation he has put its good to be in one range!! So have this to show doctors and ask how they plan to do this instead of insisting I'm normal at 4.5 -
