I’ve only just discovered this. I take biotin as part of a B complex every evening and maybe latest test showed higher than normal Ft3. endocrinenews.endocrine.org...

There are many studies to support the fact that biotin can give elevated results.

Taking Biotin will only affect assays which use biotin in the analysis. If your lab doesn't use it your results are not skewed. I've no idea how you find out if your lab used biotin. Perhaps you could retest after skipping biotin for a week and see whether the results differ significantly.

That’s probably the best idea. According to Endocrine News (US), most immunoassays contain biotin. Not sure if that’s relevant to the UK.
