Hi just asking after a total thyroidectomy, can you ever go 1 or 2 days without the levy. For instance I am flying next week, and don’t like the feeling i get off them. On my flight days could I miss my dose out, that would be 2 days missed in 5 days. But I would resume normally once I get home.

As far as i know it takes about 2 weeks for the levo to get through your system, in other words the dose you had this morning will be affecting you in 2 weeks time. I wouldnt mess about with my dosage, it takes so long to sort out a level that works.

Thank u. They keep telling me it’s not the levy making me feel this way. I’v cut myself down to 100mcg as don’t have the terrible bad anxiety of this I weigh 57kg do you think this dose is enough. At times during the day, usually 9ish pm and am I feel great, clear head, positive, ubeat. Have bit of energy. Then iv found aprox 6 hours after taking the levy (always take on empty stomach in the early hours) 6 hours later I become very slow, slow speech, and movements and my blood pressure goes up. This lasts few hours. Then it wears off. Till the next day. Maybe I don’t suit the levy?? I wish that Dr John Lowe was still alive. From what iv read he’s the only 1 who truly understood this condition!!

MMAndrea52,

If you skip the dose on your flight days double the dose the next day to make up.

Hi thanks but read my reply above. I feel awful off those tabs. If the illness doesn’t kill you the tabs will 🤪😩😔

What brand of Levo are you using? Some people have problems with certain brands. Teva seems to be one mentioned a lot, but some members have had problems with other brands.

Perhaps you can ask for a different brand and see if you get on better with that.

I've been on Actavis for a few years and it suits me, but some people don't get on with that brand.

Yes I’m on teva

I would ask to try a different brand, they can have different fillers. Ask the pharmacist if they can dispense another one or if not try a different pharmacy.

How do I search teva on here

Depending on your device it could be the word 'Search' orbit could be a magnifying glass icon somewhere at the top of the page.

The search facility is pretty pants, very random results but here's a start healthunlocked.com/search/t...

If you search Teva on here you will see many people have had issues with it.

We are all different. Some get on with one brand, while others hate it.

The very important thing is once you find one that is OK for you insist on same one each prescription.

Thank you. I will ask, do you know of any brand that’s meant to be good.

What's good for one can cause problems for another, so it's not possible to say, you just have to try them and find what suits.
