Hi I am new and contemplating complaining about my GP who overrode my endo's recommendations to my treatment plan. 3 weeks into taking my 150mcg levothyroxine I went for bloods and I get a phone call from my GP 3 days later asking me to reduce from 150mcg to 100mcg due to overtreated results (please see below)
My endo is not aware of the reduction and thinks I am still on 150mcg. I see him next week and have no idea what to say and he has called me at the 8 week follow up to say he was surprised that my results now show I'm becoming hypothyroid! I now have hard stool every day, coldness in feet, heavy cycles, losing hair, gaining weight and sleeping 13 hours a day.
Maybe time to complain about GP or is it not worth it? They must know the mess they've made with my dose since the endo sent a letter to me and them.
I was diagnosed 2012. Thanks for any advice anyone can give.
