The dry skin on your heels indicates you are VERY Hypo. Fluid follows the salt - so ensure you take good quality salt in your food - with lots of minerals - and not the processed white salt.

Do you have any thyroid test results you could share with us ? - with ranges :-)

Hello Marz. I have had some about 8 months ago, please look at post for that time. I am paying for private thyroid blood tests, 23rd of this month. Reference to salt. I do not use/add salt in any foods/cooking.

Re: Your suggestion to look back at results: it took me a long time to find them trawling through your posts and I think people are more likely to respond if you post your thyroid blood test results along with your request for advice.

As far as I could see, the only blood test results I could find are old and you need up to date bloods to find out what's going on. The previous thyroid tresults are in range so you need to know if there is a change in status or not.

Do you have blood pressure issues ? Do they go down overnight ?

Hi. No blood pressure fine. Slightly less swollen in morning. But my stomach is very bloated as well. Even a mouthful of water seems to bloat it

Sounds unusual. Mine used to swell before I was diagnosed with Hashimotos back in 2005. After flying or sitting too long for a meal - they would swell too ....

Something does not seem right. Are you taking any medication that could be affecting your gut ?

Never been on medication. Because of ignorance of GP I am having private tests done, but alas I cannot get appointment with Nurse to do them until 23rd. My ankles have been like this for a very long time!! 2007 blood tests apparently showed large red blood cells. But not knowing what I know now, I never pursued it. Only in the last year have I found out about this. I believe it is a classic sign of B12 and Hashimotos

So do you know your B12 level ?

That is probably why your ankles are swelling! You need more salt.

Thankyou. I was just going to post them 😊

Salt is essential to our well being. It shouldn't be eliminated from the diet. You might find this interesting, particularly the references to salt.
