Where do I find a GP who treat me with T3, Progesterone & DHEA hormones.

If not available on the NHS, as here in North Wales, I am willing to pay privately.

I have been prescribed all of the above hormones in Sydney, Australia after a barrage of tests from my daughter's GP & have felt hugely better.

Now medication running out & local GP will not treat! Help!

Jedde,

It may be worth asking local pharmacists which, if any, local GPs prescribe the hormones you require. The British Thyroid Association recommend that endocrinologists should initiate Liothyronine (T3) so your GP may not be able to prescribe initially, and you should be aware that some CCGs and health authorities have banned prescribing of T3 due to cost.

Email louise.roberts@thyroiduk.org for a list of member recommended private GPs and endocrinologists. If you get a private prescription for T3 ask the pharmacist to obtain Thybon 20mcg from Germany as the UK licenced T3 Mercury Pharma and Morningside Healthcare will cost £258+ for 28 x 20mcg.
