Fluctuating tsh

If my tsh was 6 after a stressful month before test does it warrant increase in synthroid ? It happened to me one other time 5 years ago and after 3 months had to be lowered back to 100 mcg. I’ve been taking this dose for 20 years I’m freling jittery after taking increase and pulse rate higher then usual etc. so if tsh rises during stress can it go back down without increase in med? Last test before this one at 6 was . 97

TSH rises because FT4 and FT3 have dropped, not because of stress. TSH 6 means you are undermedicated and need to increase Synthroid dose. You should retest 6-8 weeks after increasing dose to make sure FT3 remains within range.
