Hello, i posted a few months ago about my symptoms along with ptsd, sleep apnoea, chronic pain and hypohydrosis. Everyone suggested I get tested again as my GP following ‘negative’ test results from endo has put my symptoms down to my PTSD, (it seems everything is because of my PTSD).
Anyways I have managed to get £100 together and looking at Blue Horizon and Medichecks they both have a test at about that much and I was wondering which test is better or if they were the same. Can anyone help? Thanks
Helenbolland The test is exactly the same, often processed by the same laboratory too, but there is one difference - Blue Horizon does Serum B12 and Medichecks do Active B12. Not many members here fully understand the Active B12 results and can't suggest what is an optimal level. Most of us are used to interpreting Serum B12.
If you do do active B12 then you would have to pop along to the pernicious anaemia society on health unlocked to get it interpreted properly or find the relevant info.
