Only TSH tested whilst on levo?

Hi all!

I’ve finally got my results from bloods and seems only my TSH has been tested?

Is this normal,

This was my 3 month review of 50 mcg levo treatment

I have been on levo for years and all previous bloods included t4 and free T but this year only TSH....I am guessing it is a cost cutting thing.

Personally I am now using medichecks private blood tests.

TSH has some kind of God-like importance to doctors. Way too much importance is placed upon it, this is something that badly needs changing but yes, likely cutting costs is the main motivator in testing only that. Of course they won't admit that!

What was your TSH result?

It seems that even if a GP requests the T4 or FT4 that the labs will refuse to check it if the TSH is within range.
