This is probably better directed at admin - is it possible to lock old posts? After they have been written. I have been getting replies to incorrect info on an old post. I was going to delete it but I recall an admin or active member complained about people deleting posts so I thought I’d try to lock it instead?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I know, I've had the same thing and I've also discovered I've replied to old posts when they have come up first on my screen. I'm not sure why very old posts are popping up like this.
I think it’s the search facility. As they are not chronological. I think the page is run by volunteers which is great as we take certain things for granted. Also if it’s not reported they won’t know. A lot of bugs on this site but so informative!
Hello Helvella, another member started it with incorrect assumption. And other members then have added questions. I think they are directed at me but I don’t have that information. 🤦🏾♀️
We've asked HU whether posts over a certain age can be closed to replies but they aren't interested in doing it. Admin can't go through thousands of old posts to lock them individually but if you post a link the thread you want locked I will do it.
Why do they pop up top of the list on my daily bulletin every now and again.
I know it's my fault for not checking the date before I reply but it is strange things that posts that are so old appear and at first glance seem to be the latest posts.
I'm not bothered about closing them, I'm just curious as to why pretty old ones suddenly appear out of the blue. In my case I need to check the date to make sure they are current. Have to say I feel a bit stupid when I reply then realisethe post is about five years old.
It's a stupid thing HU introduced for new members a while back to give them a feel for content on the site. There has been a glitch recently where established members have been receiving the 'new member' daily digest and Newsfeed.
Email support@healthunlocked.com and tell them you would like your normal daily digest and Newsfeed.
I'm guilty when browsing of not always checking the date of a post. Try to remember but forget. I am happy when I find helpful posts even if old because I learn from them as they are not old to me. irina1975
Hello Clutter, thank you for responding. I can’t seem to add the link. Could be a pain ask you to click on my details and it’s the first post /posted three months ago. I was an old member opened a new account to keep my gynae issue separate for notification replies then opened this page for my Thyroid. (DubbElleE is the old one) if not I’m on my mobile so will try on my iPad later. Post entitle Greek T3 update. Thanks again Clutter 😊
Oh and maybe they might be open to changing it to an option later instead of just at the beginning. I completely understand bout the thousands of posts.
