Weird dizzy feeling. Like the rooms tipping.

I've had this years ago and it's popped up again. It's hard to explain but it's like if I look up etc move my eyes it's almost like my brain moves slower and I get a weird sensation like the rooms tipping or something. Very strange.

How are your B12 levels ? Are you taking any medication in addition to your Levo ?

Haven't had them tested in a while Marz. No other meds in addition to my Levo.

As others have said - it could be a form of vertigo. I only mentioned B12 as there are varying degrees of ataxia when B12 is low. What was the result when last tested ?

Hope you are soon sorted 😊

That sounds like Vertigo nhs.uk/conditions/vertigo/P... My GP recommended travel sickness tablets, which helped the symptoms but did not get rid of it and it went after a couple of weeks. Since then though, I have found physio techniques on line.

Here are some suggestions for what can help: youtube.com/watch?v=mQR6b7C...

or this one: youtube.com/watch?v=qw1QciZ...

I hope you feel better soon.

Following on from PiggySue's post, I recently had BPPV diagnosed when the room was spinning as I was trying to get up in the morning. GP checked ears, etc, and came to that decision. He didn't do anything but mentioned the Epley Manoeuvre so I googled it and did it myself. After the third day I had one massive room spin following the manoeuvre and then nothing since (I think it was the crystals in the ear that had been causing the problem finally shifting). I did find though, for 2 to 3 weeks following, that scrolling up and down on a computer or tablet affected my eyes, I think it was the quick movement. That seems to have settled down now.

With BPPV it's certain movements that cause the dizziness, and it's very likely that it's an individual thing - with me it was trying to sit up from prone position in bed (I fell straight back onto the pillow a few times!), someone else it could be a different movement.

I hope you get it sorted, it's not nice.

Ive had vertigo a few times and even vomitted because of it. Ive seen ENT twice for it and I was told once it was Labrynthitis and the consultant performed the Epley manouvre and it passed. It has come back twice since but not so severe and it seems to pass after a few hours. I found it worse when I close my eyes so just focus on something to try to stop the spinning / motion sickness. hugs Joolz.x

I had this until an enlightened endo prescribed T3. For me, it was another symptom of low FT3.
