I'm sorry you've had no replies, Jezebel69. Feel free to repost your question and results.
If cortisol is too low (your morning cortisol is low) adrenaline kicks in to maintain glucose levels in the blood. That's why you keep waking up at 4am.
You could try taking melatonin but be cereful with it. Melatonin reduces cortisol: it could help by pushing your high bedtime cortisol towards morning. You would need to start with a small dose of melatonin (0.5-1mg), try it for 3 days and if it doesn't work increase the dose. Some people respond to small doses, some need higher doses. If you take too much it would suppress your cortisol too much... Hence, you need to start small and be careful.
That thyroid medication are you on?
Thanks for this info Kitten. I was on t4/t3 combo 100/20 For a couple of years but developed high rt3 so dropped t4 and was t3 only for a few months. Now trying a combo again at 50/37.5 But feel undersized. I was thinking of trying Seriphos but I have some melatonin already so happy to try that to address the cortisol.
