Kanza1718 It would help members if you could post your test results, with reference ranges and give more information.

Was your dose reduced from 200mcg to 25mcg in one go?

What prompted the reduction?

What were the test results at the time?

Have you had dose changes before?

Have you had thyroid antibodies tested? Were they high - Hashimoto's?

Have you had vitamins and minerals tested - Vit D, B12, folate, ferritin, iron panel, full blood count? If so please post results.

GP has refused me copies of any results before

Dose reduced in one go

Have had dose changes before

I am sure other things have been tested but I don't know what because I am not told

Thanks

If they don't tell you what they are testing you for they don't have your informed consent to test. And legally they are not allowed to deny you the test result although they may make a charge for the print outs. They charged £20 for mine that was over the normal amount but I think that I got a ream of paper. Many surgeries have online access to test results. Try talking to the practice manager as a precursor to making your considerable complaint. You appear to have a surgery from at least the 1950s. Medicine should have moved on, the law certainly has.

They are breaking the law, you might want to mention that to them. The Data Protection Act legally entitled you to your test results.

If they still refuse make a Subject Access Request ico.org.uk/for-the-public/p...

No, post the results and ranges from the last two blood tests.

At all times remain calm, polite and rational in your dealings with "them". You've a battle on your hands, and they can make life very difficult, as I'm sure you're all too well aware :-(

Kanza1718,

The Data Protection Act entitles patients to their test results. A printout of results analysed within 40 days should be free other than a nominal £1/£2 to cover the cost of printer ink and paper.

Ask the senior receptionist or practice manager to ensure you get a printout of your recent results and if possible the previous results and ranges too.

Omg they can't deny you the result as that is illegal. God I hate how we are treated by incompetent NHS GP's.
