Advice on AM Cortisol levels??

Hi

Can anyone offer advice on cortisol levels wrt adrenals?

I had bloods taken last week at 9.30am, returning a cortisol level of 311. Usefully, the surgery provided no range.

In 2015, I had private bloodwork taken at 8.45am, including Cortisol of 360 (171-536).

Does a lower result indicate a significant decline in adrenal function since 2015?

Or can that be explained by the fact that my latest result is slightly later in the morning and the results will have come from different labs with different ranges?

Is 311 still a healthy AM value?

Hi ady - I had a morning cortisol level of 173 (similar range to yours) and was referred for further tests as this was considered borderline - all tests came back normal....

I have experienced that in the past for a short time, but I'm generally quite the opposite, prone to night sweats, can't bear more than 10.5 tog even in winter
