I was diagnosed with sub clinical hypothyroidism 2 months ago and started on 50 mcg Levothyroxine. At that time my TSH was 6.6 (0.3-5.5). I have just had my first follow up blood test and my TSH has come back at 2.3 (0.3-5.5). I am seeing my GP next week and I would like to ask you all whether I should be expecting an increase in my Levo dose as I know that the optimal TSH level is <1. Will my level still be decreasing on my 50mcg dose or will this only happen with a higher dose? Thanks.

If your TSH was going to be lower it would have done so by now. Ask your GP to increase Levothyroxine dose by 25mcg alternate days as it should drop you into the 0.3 - 1.0 range. Bear in mind that symptoms can lag behind good biochemistry by a few months.
