This one taken on the Serbian Bosnian border. The river is called the Drina.
Spent many a time relaxing fishing and swimming here. The water is as clear as tap water.
Hope you like.

I always stay at a friends bnb. It's right on the river. Costs about £8 per night with an ensuite. Everybody mucks in with the food. Pedja the owner always cooks something fresh. Fish or meat. But there's plenty of fresh salads and fruit as well bought in the village. Grown or reared locally.
This photo was taken from the shore of his bnb.
It really is a wonderful place with amazingly friendly people.
I've stayed in high class 5 star hotels, but they don't compare to this place. It's a real paradise.
Sounds like you're homesick
I was born in the Welsh valleys, but I do feel a very strong pull to the Balkans.
Lived here for 6 years. It's a totally different way of life to the UK, even in the capital.
Not really up on me mushrooms. Just eat what I'm given. 😀
Off to Athens for 3 days tomorrow morning, then Corfu 7 days and back to Serbia until end of August.
Sounds an interesting dreamy bohemian existence
meanwhile reality for me = camper raring for 3 week holiday but not at the mo. Even France is slower & relaxed...

It was 40c here in Belgrade today. Two days ago we had the most amazing thunderstorms.
Been everywhere else in the eastern block but not Bulgaria, yet.
Spent 10 years in Cyprus, before the crash. Amazing times, but a bit unreal, the crash was inevitable I think.
East Europeans have reported a better understanding & treatment of why the Thyroid 'crashes' - worth finding out - & reporting back maybe? Enjoy your chillin'

I could sit on the shore and look at that view for hours though. Another beautiful photo Nick.
Looks amazing , I think most of us get stuck on the hampster wheel and can't find a way off sadly
Looks stunning Nick. I'd love to row that boat on the river. We're all envious.
