I met my new gp Friday. She agreed to an increase. Quite reluctant as she said even though my TSH has risen from 1.7 to 3.44 and ft4 has dropped from almost 20 to 17 they re within range. She agreed to increase me to 100mfg from 75mg. She refused however to still let me have them in 25mg doses and has given me 100mg. I've looked online and Wookhardt is only in 25mg and I refuse to change brand as I've reacted to other brand changes and am settled well on Wookhardt. My old gp had no issue keeping me on 25mg tablets for a 75mg dose of Levo.
What can I do? My gp is calling Friday and I'm worried she will refuse point blank to let me have the boxes of 25mg. She said that's too expensive and she can't do it. Makes me cross as I have cost the nhs very little the last few years as I've been doing blood tests myself and few gp appointments.
I have been on 75mg and shes now changed the dose to 100mg so said I have to take a full 100mg tablet rather than 25mg x4. I explained id had 3 x 25mg from my other gp but she said she couldn't do that.
Hidden Wockhardt do have 100 mcg Levo, but they are a special order and I believe more expensive than 4 x 25 mcg Wockhardt Levo. I am still getting 4 x 25 mcg Wockhardt from my surgery, but they are still not good and at the moment the roof of my mouth is very sore with them.
