just surmising and having thoughts about hormone blood tests.

It occurred to me the other day that the only people who seem to be happy with the treatment endos provide consistantly are diabetics. I dont think there is a blood test to measure insulin. There are blood tests to measure blood sugar and inmy experiance blood sugar tests are very reliable and an acurate way to predict how much insulin is needed. But no test as far as I know to measure insulin. From what I remmber from my nursing days the amount of insulin needed varied wildly from one person to the next and was dependant on all sorts of ever changing needs, such as how much someone had eaten, how big or small a person, whether they had an infection or had done some exercise. What if this was the same for all hormones. What if there is no norm other than evidence of good health. What if it is impossible to get anykind of picture of some ones hormone needs from a blood test, that our need vary wildly and are dependant on all sort of circumstance. What if endos are making an utter mess of thier jobs not just for thyroid patients but for anyone with a pituaritary or adrenal or feritility issue. What if hormone needs just cannot be measured. Am I talking crap or could this be happening?
