Sorry to ask same question again ,has any one seen encrinologist in addenbrookes?

I have been given a choice and don t know whether to go to local hospital or travel to Cambridge with the thought that because it's a teaching hospital the encrinologist will be more experienced ( ever hopeful!)

Personal message me please I have to arrange appointment soon

Thanks Piedo

Just a heads up, my gp referred me to addenbrooks but I ended up in a general endo clinic (more diabetes) not the thyroid clinic. Make sure yr gp states the Thyroid clinic which I believe is on Thursdays. I had to see the general endo in june but have now bn referred to thyroid clind end of august. My mum also got sent to general clinic in error but she's not bn referred and I'm not happy with her advice (i went with her) The difference in us is that I had a tt so no thyroid left and she still has her albeit failing thyroid.

In general addenbrooks is one of the recommended places to go. I don't think you can specify a particular endo until you get there on the day and ask at reception.

Thank you so much for your reply

Might take my chance with local hospital who ever I see I know I will have a battle I am only on 100 levo and because my TSH is surpressed dr want me to drop to 75

I am already suffering joint and muscle pain and get tired easily plus have started to put on weight which won t shift ! I have always been a slim person

I think I need more not less ! Or t3 added ( fat chance of that though)

Thanks once again

Yes I have seen one in Addenbrookes, and he was the worst of the lot, so arrogant. We ended up having strong words and he was waving his arms around shouting at me. Hopefully you won't get him. Sorry I Couldn't be more positive. Best wishes

I really wish you well, I did see one In Bury St Edmunds but she was no help either. Just seen an immunologist - £3. 50 p hour to park and all she does is blood tests - 7 tubes in fact but still no advice whatsoever. It is a crazy world
