FINALLY!!!!

So after phoning the doctors for the rest of my results... b12/ferritin which by the way, they didn't bother doing 😩 I was then transferred to a doctor I didn't know existed at my surgery.... I started running thru the usual symptoms & levels and to my absolute amazement she took interest & runs her own private clinics & has knowledge of thyroid πŸ™ŒπŸ» I nearly cried!!! She told me, as I was diagnosed with 'Hashis' last year, I had a lump in my neck and said I should have a scan for that!!! She went a load of stuff on the phone... end result is I'm having all my bloods done again tomorrow and even my T3!!!!! She's put me in for a scan in my neck & checking my adrenals, need private testing for cortisol & is the only doctor to tell me gluten free & Im surely nutrient difficient as I don't absorb anything πŸ™ŒπŸ» hallelujah!!!!

She said it's a very complicated disease & most things are linked. As soon as my results are back, she wants to have a meeting with me! Nearly 9 years of this and finally a doctor which actually listens:)) there's hope at long last xxx

Just wanted to share some happy news & hopefully we can all get to this stage!! X

How fantastically brilliant.

Please pass on her details to Louise at Thyroid Uk. She can be added to the list of thyroid specialists

louise.roberts@thyroiduk.org.uk

So fantastic to read that there are Doc's out there who actually give a cluck! Congrats on your good luck and DO pass on her info once you've had a chance to establish she's legit as Slow Dragon suggests! πŸ™‚

Great stuff!!! That's two posts I've just read with happy news :)

It would be lovely if we had just one post like this every day, to counteract the numerous posts which tell us how many doctors know diddly squat about treating hypothyroidism!

What a lovely result. It would be so good for us all to have a GP like this. So pleased for you. It gives us all hope that the tide is turning with newer GPs.
