Yes. Although I don't think there is any way of proving cause and effect.
Yes, this is why the advice to give up gluten is given so frequently on here. There is no need to have proven coeliac disease to get a benefit from giving up gluten. I've been fully tested for coeliac disease, and result was negative. I've always had negative thyroid antibodies as well. Yet when I gave up gluten as an experiment I got benefits within a week.
