Hypothyroidism
I've taken L-glutamine powder to help heal my gut. I'm having a break from it at the moment, but I have taken it for months at a time in the past.
I was taking a heaped teaspoon in the morning and the same in the evening (I think - it's been a while), but I think I would reduce to a level teaspoon night and morning if I go on it again.
If you want to try it, buy loose powder rather than capsules - it gives you far more control of the dose, and works out cheaper in the long run. Also, don't take it anywhere near hot food or hot drinks because it is destroyed by heat. Put it in cold water and just drink it. It has almost zero flavour and odour.
A suggested dosing schedule I came across might be of interest :

I don't remember L-Glutamine having any obvious effect on hypothyroidism symptoms, but healing the gut is well worth the effort for anyone with hypothyroidism. If nothing else, it is likely to reduce inflammation and improve absorbency of meds and nutrients.
