Weight gain, fluid retention and swelling!!

I've been on 125mg, correct dose according to bloods for 8 years since thyroid crash after post cancer! Since then I cannot shift weight after dieting crazily! And fluid retention is so swollen making me feel so old and miserable. Is there an alternative to thyroxine? Desperate to lose weight and this swelling!!

Crazy dieting will make you put more on! Low calorie impacts negatively on conversion, so you will be lowering your T3.

The first step on the road to good health is to get hold of your blood test results. You need to know exactly what was tested, and exactly what the results were. You are more than likely under-medicated! I don't care what your doctor said the results showed, doctors know nothing about thyroid!

So, get hold of your results, and post them on here, with the ranges, and we will tell you if you are adequately medicated.
