Palpitations can be caused by being over medicated and under medicated on Carbimazole. When did you last have a thyroid function test and what were the results and ranges?
If Carbimazole was reduced to 10mg after FT4 9 result then it's likely the FT4 result is low and that may be why you're having palpitations. You should ask for another thyroid function test 4-6 weeks after you were reduced to 10mg.
Might be an idea to have another blood test in a couple of weeks time. Then you will have been on a lower dose for 4 weeks. I was changed from 30mg to 15 four weeks ago and I think I have gone hyper again. Will find out on Monday.
