Trigger finger

I think that I may have trigger finger, where the finger will not straighten after flexing and am being sent for a diabetes test. Having looked up trigger finger I see that it is also linked to being hypo. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks

Jenny

Trigger finger is very common whether hypo or not. I'm waiting for an op on my trigger thumb.

Yes, certainly linked to hypo as far as I am aware. I had a simple injection in finger whilst still on levo and that seemed to fix it about 95%.

Ive had 2 steroid injections, works for a while but comes back worse than before !

Mine hasn't come back to any great degree since then, but I started taking NDT shortly after that injection. I see from your previous posts you are on levo and liothyronine. I suspect my finger joint suffered some minor irreparable damage whilst on levo.

I'm not on T3, never have been. My problem thumb is almost certainly work related. What damage do you think Levo caused ?

Must have misread a previous post re T3.

Most unlikely my TF was work related, office job. Only affected one finger. There seems occasionally to be some discomfort in that particular finger reminiscent of trigger finger but nowhere near as severe. Still present, 5 years after.

Could be arthritis, I have the beginnings of it in both hands, X-rays showed wear and tear, difficult sometimes to know what hurts and why ! Trigger finger/thumb is also common after carpal tunnel surgery which I had 18 months ago.
