Does Taking A Laxative Affect T4 Absorption?

Good Day,

Due to being constipated all the time, I take some Black Forrest Tea to loosen it down there so that I may feel lighter once or twice a month, but since starting T4, I have stopped fearing that the T4 will go too as I get flushed out. But, that has also meant that I've been feeling sluggish for a good week and I'm feeling uncomfortable and bloated. So, I have a few questions:

1. Does taking a laxative affect T4 absorption?

2. Can I skip T4 for a day or two? (In case it is affected by the tea).

3. I take magnesium citrate daily but probably not enough. What is the recommended dose for Magnesium per day? (I take magnesium at 22:00 and T4 in the morning 07:00)

Thank you.

I apologise for this unbecoming topic but Google has not helped me.

Inana,

Take the laxative two hours away from Levothyroxine and there shouldn't be any interference with absorption.

I think the RDA magnesium is 300-400mg.
