I had half my Thyroid removed last year and i have been on Levothyroxin 125mg daily since. I have started getting pains in my finger joints and wrists and thumbs in the last 3 weeks. Is this due to my under active thyroid or something else? i had a rheumatoid test that came back negative. grateful for any advice.

It could be low nutrient levels. Low vitamin D is a common cause of joint pain. It could also be under-medication of your hypothyroidism.

Do you have any blood tests results, including reference ranges? The things we would be interested in would be :

TSH

Free T4

Free T3

TPO antibodies

TG antibodies

Vitamin B12

Vitamin D

Folate

Ferritin/iron (or a full iron panel and a full blood count if at all possible)

CRP and/or ESR
