Weight and thyroid medicine

I wanted to know if once you get a thyroid medicine if you can lose the weight you put on. I have been working out, but its like my body refuses to lose anything. I have gone up 30 lbs in the last 8 month, 15 of it in the last 4. So it seems to piling on.

You'll be able to think about your weight when you get your FT3 optimised. But to do that, of course, you have to get onto thyroid hormone replacement.

In the meantime, stop exercising! It isn't going to make you lose weight, it's just going to use up your T3 and make you more hypo, so that you put on more weight. Just gentle walking and swimming, or yoga until you bring your levels up.

When I went gluten, casein free I lost Over a stone in 3 weeks. It's stays off as long as I completely stick to it. Otherwise I swell and weight goes up.

Also I think the NDT helps as before I wasn't converting T4 to T3 well st all.
